证人证言是直接证据还是间接 -证据

证人证言是否为直接证据，需要根据其证明的内容确定，如果证人证言能够完整的证明整个事件发生的全部经过，而非某一个片段，则可以认定为直接证据。而如果证人仅能证明事件中的某一个片段，还需要其他的证据予以结合，则该证人证言是间接证据。
法律依据：
《中华人民共和国民事诉讼法》 第六十三条 证据包括：
(一)当事人的陈述(二)书证(三)物证(四)视听资料(五)电子数据(六)证人证言(七)鉴定意见(八)勘验笔录。
证据必须查证属实，才能作为认定事实的根据。
