租房子毁约合法吗 -法律知识

法律分析:
不合法。租房期间房东卖房合同还有效。根据法律规定，租赁物在承租人按照租赁合同占有期限内发生所有权变动的，不影响租赁合同的效力。这也就是“买卖不破租赁”。如果在租赁合同期限内，房东以卖房为由将承租人赶走，房东的行为构成违约，承租人可以向房东主张支付违约金或赔偿损失。

《中华人民共和国民法典》 第七百二十五条 租赁物在承租人按照租赁合同占有期限内发生所有权变动的，不影响租赁合同的效力。
