释义	雇佣童工是违法的，用人单位会被罚款，严重的会被吊销营业执照。法律依据：《中华人民共和国刑法》第二百四十四条违反劳动管理法规，雇用未满十六周岁的未成年人从事超强度体力劳动的，或者从事高空、井下作业的，或者在爆炸性、易燃性、放射性、毒害性等危险环境下从事劳动，情节严重的，对直接责任人员，处三年以下有期徒刑或者拘役，并处罚金;情节特别严重的，处三年以上七年以下有期徒刑，并处罚金。有前款行为，造成事故，又构成其他犯罪的，依照数罪并罚的规定处罚。该内容由陈亚楠律师和点行律询共创回答
