释义	网上赌博是违法的，如果涉及的赌博金额较大、情况严重的甚至还会构成犯罪，因此绝对不要因为好奇而参与网上赌博。具体来说就是：第一，如果聚众赌博的，那么处三年以下有期徒刑、拘役或者管制，并处罚金。第二，如果是开设赌场的，那么将会处三年以下有期徒刑、拘役或者管制，并处罚金。法律依据：根据我国《治安管理处罚法》第七十条规定，以营利为目的，为赌博提供条件的，或者参与赌博赌资较大的，处5日以下拘留或者500元以下罚款；情节严重的，处10日以上15日以下拘留，并处500元以上3000元以下罚款。
