释义	1.对于借贷类合同罚金性质的滞纳金，如果利息及滞纳金的总额不超过银行同期贷款利息四倍的，受法律保护。超过四倍的的，超过部分不受法律保护。 2.对于其他合同违约金性质的滞纳金，如果不过分高于对方因违约所遭受的损失，是受法律保护的。如果过分高于对方因违约而遭受的损失，可以向法院请求，予以适当减少。一般不超过损失的30％。法律依据：《中华人民共和国民法典》第五百八十五条当事人可以约定一方违约时应当根据违约情况向对方支付一定数额的违约金，也可以约定因违约产生的损失赔偿额的计算方法。
