释义	法律分析：没有无义务的权利，也没有无权利的义务。根据民法典的有关规定，原则上儿媳没有继承公、婆遗产的权利，那么儿媳也无赡养公婆的义务。当然，在婚姻存续期间，妻子因婚姻关系对公婆有协助丈夫赡养其父母的义务。但是，丈夫去世后，失去了婚姻关系的支撑，妻子就没有了赡养公婆的义务。因此公婆不能在儿子去世后强制要求儿媳支付赡养费。法律依据：《中华人民共和国老年人权益保障法》第十一条赡养人是指老年人的子女以及其他依法负有赡养义务的人。赡养人的配偶应当协助赡养人履行赡养义务。
