释义	一、表兄妹是不可以结婚的。如表兄妹结婚，双方的外祖母属第一代，双方的母亲属第二代，表兄妹结合就是第三代。直系血亲，是指具有直接血缘关系的亲属，具体是指直接生育自己和自己所生育的上下各代的亲属，如父母和子女、祖父母、外祖父母和孙于女、外孙子女等都包括在内。我国婚姻法规定三代以内血亲禁止结婚，包括第三代，即禁止表兄妹结婚。二、根据《婚姻法》第七条有下列情形之一的，禁止结婚：（一）直系血亲和三代以内的旁系血亲；（二）患有医学上认为不应当结婚的疾病。
