释义	法律分析：不会作废，但是会员卡只有在激活以后方可享受工会会员卡的专属服务。激活方式有两种：一是由银行工作人员到企业上门为会员办理激活并修改密码；二是会员本人持身份证件原件、工会会员卡到建设银行任一营业网点柜面进行激活并修改密码。上述两种方式的确定由企业工会和办理会员卡业务的银行网点协商确定。法律依据：《工会会员会籍管理办法》第十七条会员退休 (含提前退休)后,在原单位工会办理保留会籍手续。退休后再返聘参加工作的会员,保留会籍不作变动。
