释义	2012年10月8日，公安部修订发布《机动车驾驶证申领和使用规定》，违反道路交通信号灯通行等违法记分将由3分提高到6分。闯黄灯将被视作闯红灯，也要被记6分，还要交罚款。法律依据：根据《道路交通安全法》第二十六条规定，交通信号灯由红灯、绿灯、黄灯组成。红灯表示禁止通行，绿灯表示准许通行，黄灯表示警示。《道路交通安全法》第四十四条规定，机动车通过交叉路口，应当按照交通信号灯、交通标志、交通标线或者交通警察的指挥通过。不按交通信号指示通行即指闯红灯、闯黄灯。
