释义	法律分析：证人一般不可以是单位。在我国，刑事案件中只接受自然人（公民）作为证人，不接受单位作为证人，即单位不能以单位名义提供证人证言。民事诉讼中个人、单位均可以以证人身份出庭作证。法律依据《中华人民共和国刑事诉讼法》第六十二条凡是知道案件情况的人，都有作证的义务。生理上、精神上有缺陷或者年幼，不能辨别是非、不能正确表达的人，不能作证人。《中华人民共和国刑事诉讼法》第六十三条人民法院、人民检察院和公安机关应当保障证人及其近亲属的安全。
