释义	法律分析：法院调解是指在人民法院审判人员的主持下，民事案件的双方当事人就争议的实体权利、义务等问题自愿平等协商，达成协议，经人民法院认可后，终结诉讼程序的活动。法院调解又称诉讼中的调解。分清是非、自愿与合法的原则，调解不成，应及时判决。法院调解，可以由当事人的申请开始，也可以由人民法院依职权主动开始。法律依据：《中华人民共和国民事诉讼法》第一百四十二条法庭辩论终结，应当依法作出判决。判决前能够调解的，还可以进行调解，调解不成的，应当及时判决。
