释义	传唤是司法机关通知诉讼当事人于指定的时间、地点到案所采取的一种举措。传唤持续的时间不得超过十二小时，最长不得超过二十四小时。法律依据：《公安机关办理刑事案件程序规章》第一百九十三条公安机关对于不需要拘捕、逮捕的犯罪嫌疑人，经办案部门负责人批准，可以传唤到犯罪嫌疑人所在市、县内的指定地点或者到他的住处进行讯问。第一百九十四条传唤犯罪嫌疑人时，应当出示传唤证和侦查人员的工作证件，并责令其在传唤证上签名、捺指印。
