释义	(一)起诉前调解。诉前调解，顾名思义就是起诉前的调解。具体而言，就是当你下定决定走进法院起诉离婚时，法院并不立案，而是给你开一个收取材料的单子给你，在45天内通知你能否成功立案，他会先和被告联系，确认被告的身份和地址后，通知双方当事人在法官的调解下进行调解。(二)庭前调解。庭前调解是指在立案成功后，正式开庭审理前调解。法律依据：《民事诉讼法》第一百二十二条先行调解当事人起诉到人民法院的民事纠纷，适宜调解的，先行调解，但当事人拒绝调解的除外。
