释义	根据《中华人民共和国刑法》的规定，绑架罪，是指以勒索财物为目的绑架他人的行为，或者绑架他人作为人质的行为，犯绑架罪，杀害被绑架人的，或者故意伤害被绑架人，致人重伤、死亡的，处无期徒刑或者死刑，并处没收财产。为了有力惩治罪犯杀害人质的行为，该条对“杀害被绑架人”的加重情节予以了规定，可判处死刑。
