释义	退休人员不能买工伤保险。工伤保险，是指劳动者在工作中或在规定的特殊情况下，遭受意外伤害或患职业病导致暂时或永久丧失劳动能力以及死亡时，劳动者或其遗属从国家和社会获得物质帮助的一种社会保险制度。同时工伤保险是由用人单位购买的，职工不用缴满工伤保险费。可以看出工伤保险是用人单位为劳动者购买的，而退休人员是属于已经达到退休年龄的人，不再是法律规定的劳动者，和用人单位签订的合同是劳务合同，而不是劳动合同，因此退休人员是不能购买工伤保险的。法律依据《社会保险法》第三十三条
