释义	法律分析：不一定。对于肇事逃逸案件，公安机关一般都会进行拘留，但也不是一定会进行拘留，而且所处的拘留是行政拘留。法律依据：《中华人民共和国道路交通安全法实施条例》第九十二条发生交通事故后当事人逃逸的，逃逸的当事人承担全部责任。但是，有证据证明对方当事人也有过错的，可以减轻责任。肇事逃逸按《中华人民共和国道路交通安全法》第九十九条之规定处理，处二百元以上二千元以下罚款，可并处拘留十五日以下，以及第一百零一条之规定吊销驾驶证，终生禁驾。
